How We Are Organised

Sons of Cyrus is a self-governing, non-profit motorcycle association built around a shared passion for motorcycles, brotherhood, community, and respect.

In Sweden, the association operates democratically, with the Annual General Meeting (AGM) as its highest decision-making body.

Between Annual General Meetings, the organization is governed by the Board of Directors, which is responsible for managing the association in accordance with its bylaws and the decisions made by its members.

Responsible for management and development

  • Coordinating activities at national level

  • Organizing rides, gatherings, and events

  • Managing the association’s finances and administration

  • Maintaining communication with members

  • Developing relationships with Sons of Cyrus organizations abroad

  • Ensuring the association operates according to its bylaws and values

The Board may delegate specific responsibilities to members or officials when necessary.

Strong locally, unified nationally

Much of our activity takes place at regional level. Regional representatives help coordinate local activities, communicate with members, and organize rides, meetings, and events within their respective areas.

Depending on the size and needs of a region, additional members may be appointed to assist with coordination and communication. This structure allows Sons of Cyrus to maintain a strong organization while encouraging local initiative and participation.

The road is our clubhouse

Sons of Cyrus does not depend on a traditional clubhouse or permanent meeting location. Our community comes together through motorcycle rides, organized events, regional gatherings, meetings, and other social activities.

Information about official activities and upcoming events is communicated through our established member channels and published on our website when appropriate.

Motorcycle Association or Motorcycle Club?

The terms motorcycle association and motorcycle club are sometimes used interchangeably in everyday language. Within the motorcycle community, however, different organizations may have different traditions, structures, membership processes, and ways of representing themselves.

Sons of Cyrus operates as a motorcycle association. This means that our organizational structure is based on our bylaws, an elected leadership, membership participation, and clearly defined responsibilities.

We have our own identity, emblem, traditions, membership requirements, and internal guidelines. We respect the different forms of motorcycle communities and expect the same respect in return.

More than owning a motorcycle

Members are expected to respect the organization's values, bylaws, identity, and fellow members. We welcome riders from different nationalities and backgrounds who meet our membership requirements.

Brotherhood

Equality

Freedom

Loyalty

Respect

Our Persian heritage is an important part of our identity, but our brotherhood is open to people from different backgrounds who respect what Sons of Cyrus represents.

One organisation. Many riders.

Our structure gives us direction, but our members give the organization its strength. Whether we meet locally, nationally, or across borders, we carry the same name and the same responsibility to represent it with dignity and respect.
